the community
Early in my career, I focused on individuals and their careers. Less than a decade later, seismic shifts from the AIDS epidemic converged with my growing interest in non-profit organizations. Similar to our current COVID reality, it was an era of drastic upheaval, an ongoing sense of urgency and the need to actively adjust to new norms.
My involvement throughout the epidemic led to another phase of volunteering, first as a board member of the AIDS Foundation, then as Board Chair of Project Inform. These experiences reinforced my commitment to non-profits and their potential to drive substantive change.
